With match-day six of the returns over, the disciplinary committee has confirmed the following decisions: Pellissier has a one-match ban, while Luca Rigoni joins the list of Chievo players who are one yellow card away from suspension - Mandelli, Luciano, Sammarco, Dainelli, Sardo and Andreolli.

Training with coach Murgita

The Gialloblùs were training today ahead of Saturday's clash in Turin. Coach Murgita was in charge today as Mimmo Di Carlo had an engagement in Corveciano, preceded by a meeting for all Serie A, Serie B, Prima and Seconda Divisione coaches.

Today's schedule included warm-down work for those who played yesterday, warm-up, technical and physical work with reduced-pitch matches. Luciano and Sammarco have rejoined their teammates. International players Paloschi, Facchinetti, Cruzado, Bradley, Hetemaj, Jokic and Cesar were absent.

Valpolicella association rewards Sergio Pellissier

Sergio Pellissier received an award on the occasion of his 100th Chievo goal at Peschiera's sports centre last Friday from Vivi la Valpolicella chairman Nini Piglialepre. The captain was given a clock designed by residents of the Casa fratel Francesco Perez in Negrar and a magnum of amarone wine to toast his success with.

Chievo beat Cesena, now on 33 points

ChievoVerona have beaten Cesena 1-0 at the end of a match that didn’t offer much in the way of excitement. The deciding goal came from Moscardelli in the 79th minute from a perfect Hetemaj cross that he sent towards the far post. Thanks to their numerical superiority Chievo found more space and one minute later Pellissier passed to Moscardelli who nearly made it 2-0, his lob getting past Antonioli but going wide.

Gulan and Facchinetti on call-up list

Another day of preparations for Chievo's important match against Cesena on Sunday. Today the squad, after technical warm-up with Keep Away, did tactical work on attack and defence with attention on place-kicking. Tomorrow's finishing touches are behind closed doors. Among those called up are two new names, January arrivals Gulan and Facchinetti.

The 21 players called up by coach Di Carlo are:

Squizzi, Puggioni, Sorrentino, Acerbi, Andreolli, Cesar, Frey, Mandelli, Sardo, Jokic, Gulan, Facchinetti, Hetemaj, Luciano, Rigoni, Cruzado, Vacek, Moscardelli, Paloschi, Pellissier, Uribe.

Internationals: 8 Chievo players called up

A total of eight Chievo players will be on international duty with their respective nations in the upcoming friendlies on 28th and 29th February.

Alberto Paloschi will play for Italy Under 21’s against France in Cannes, while Facchinetti who joined Chievo this January will represent Switzerland in the Under 21 match with Austria.
Cruzado will turn out for Peru in their match against Tunisia, Bradley will pull on his USA shirt to play Italy at Genova, while Jokic and Cesar will both be in the Slovenian squad who face Scotland.

Cruzado Peruvian prize

Following on from his performance against Genoa and his support for the Chievo Peru project, Rinaldo Cruzado has been given the best footballer of 2011 award from Peruvian magazine El Comercio DT, which was received on his behalf by his parents. The award was voted for by the magazine's readers and Cruzado finished ahead of Pizarro, Vargas and Guerrero.

Taking part via Skype, Cruzado thanked the Peruvians who voted for him, saying that it encouraged him to do even better in Italy.

One final thing: news of this award was received by Chievo thanks to a journalist's tweet.

Bradley visiting Aleardi school
